Why are my ears different shapes?!
Question: Why are my ears different shapes!?
Why does my right ear look like an an elf ear and my left ear like an almost normal ear!. My right ear is bent inwards at the top, my left ear is straight!.
If I don't get otoplasty, I will probably get a piercing at the top of my elf ear to make it less noticeable!.
And no, I don't care what others think, I just care about it myself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, you're just like me ! Only when I was little my brothers and sisters labeled me Mrs!. Spock!.
Mine got that way because I'm a twin and my twins foot was jammed against my ear through out the last stages of pregnancy!.
My hair is super long (not like my avatar) so it covers it up, over the years it has gotten smaller and now that I'm an adult you can barley recognize it, unless I actually show you!.
I hear you though, it was a source of emotional distress and gave me less confidence when I was a kid!.
Personally I think that a piercing would only add attention to the ear!.!.you should just let your hair grow long enough to cover it!.!.!.

It's just one of your little idiosyncracies!. My left ear curls over gently at the top and my right ear doesn't!. It's flat and straight like yours, but I have small, neat ears so it doesn't bother me at all!. No one has ever commented on it to me!. I also have an umbilical cord (inside of course, when being pregnant), which was the wrong way around, they had never seen that before, and my heart is over towards the right side of my chest, instead of the left!. Plus, I have a pretty birthmark right on the top of my left hip!. I think it's fun to be different!. Enjoy it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Was any instrument used to help when you were being born!? Ask your mother!. Sometimes forceps were used on the head of a baby to help them be born, this could've changed the shape of your ear!.
Also it is true that the sides of the face are slightly different, just like people have a shorter foot & a longer foot!.
