How many hours after you took the meds can you drink alchohol(say you take the meds at night) Or how many hours do you have to wait to drink after taking meds!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Since your doctor is paid to make sure he takes good care of you, it's his job to answer that question as he has to deal with the problems if you do it wrong!.

so!.!.!. ask your doctor!.!.!.
you can also ask your pharmacist when you pick up the medicine, or call him back later and ask him!.!.!.

you see, how long you have to wait depends on the medication, and how much it might interact with alcohol!. That varies greatly from one medicine to another!.

Insufficient information:
1!. What's the medication in question!? It has a half-life meaning how long in hours before half of it is out of your system!. Need to know that!. &
2!. How much are you planning to drink usually!? For people who drink only 1-3 drinks, it's usually ok and safe with most medications!. But people who drink heavily will be interfering with the meds and maybe inviting disaster!. Quit drinking for a few days, or if you can't, ask your doc to give you a different medication if one is available!.

In other words, not a good question for Yahoo Answers, because it asks for medical knowledge that only doctors have!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
