IBS - diet changes to cope with pain and constant bloating?!

Question: IBS - diet changes to cope with pain and constant bloating!?
Hello, I was diagnosed with IBS last summer after experiencing abdominal pain etc over a few years!. I've been quite stressed this year and i know that this is a triggering factor for me!. But the past week i've not felt stressed (or recently) but i've been in a lot of pain (which happened about this time l!.year but there's nothing in my diet that changes come the summer), i'm constantly bloated and so i've cut out wheat but it's not made a difference yet!. l!.night i had a burning sensation under my diaphram - before I'd eaten a spicey soup so i'm assuming that's the culprit, but i'm wondering what is the recommended 'diet' for IBS sufferers!? I've noticed lots of fibre, pulses, lentils etc make me really bloated (but so does anything!) so i'm keeping away! as does flapjacks :( I dont cook with fat and i'm a pescetarian (veggie who eats fish) and i try to snack and keep healthy (i have cfs so i get tired easily)!. i rarely drink caffine!. I'm trying soy milk but my yogs=cows milk! ta xWww@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I've had severe IBS for over four years!. I've tried all kinds of medications and sometimes the pain is so bad, that all I can do is take a major narcotic pain killer and go to bed!. I do take an over the counter medication called Digestive Advantage for IBS!. It does help some!. It is available at the pharmacy or on line at Amazon!. Diet is jut about the best predictor of whether I'm going to have pain and diarrhea!. Dairy really give me pain and almost immediate diarrhea as does greasy and fatty foods!.

Over the years, I tolerate more foods, and can again drink coffee, although usually not more than one cup!. You will gradually be able to introduce more foods into your diet, but at the beginning of my misery, I ate a lot of oatmeal and mashed potatoes!.

Imodium will help with the bloating and the pain!. Good luck!. IBS is really a dreadful condition!. I feel for you!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
