Question: What happens if your eardrums pop!?
If your eardrums pop , are you permanently deaf!? Or does it depend!? If you do become permanently deaf will hearing aids help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

depends on what you mean!. The answerer above me is completely correct when s/he mentions the crackling of the ears in for example, altitude!. However, if the pop you mean is an eardrum rupture, after say an ear infection, you MAY be permanently deaf!. My eardrum ruptured after an infection, but I received my hearing back after about 2 months, since the rupture was only the size of a pinhole!. If the rupture is complete, your hearing will completely go away, and nothing will help to fix it; since the drum isn't there to sense any vibrations, even a hearing aid won't help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
it depends on what you mean by "pop"!. if you are referring to the pop that happens when you go up in a plane or sometimes blowing your nose, that is just a release of pressure and is completely safe although it can be uncomfortable if the pressure isnt equalized!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
It depends on how bad it is!. If they completely rupture, then you are completely deaf!. Hearing aides won't help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
