Question: Say you got a heart transplant, when you eventually died could they give it to yet another person!?
Just wondering!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
No!. Because!.!.!.!.
To get a heart transplant, doctors have to remove it carefully from the dead person and then sew it into the new person!. This causes scarring of some of the tissue!. To remove it again, would require more cutting of the vessels, and also, there would be tissue from two people attached to it, and to put it in a third person would not only be putting a damaged scarred heart into someone, but also it would be put on ice for more time, thus increasing the chances of dead heart tissue from lack of circulation and oxygenation, and also, there would be more chance of the second recipient rejecting the heart because it would have genetic markers from two people instead of just the original donor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If the heart is still healthy and the tissue and blood type match someone else I don't see why they couldn't give it to someone else!. Good question!Www@Answer-Health@Com

It would have to depend on the condition of the heart!.

The heart muscle naturally wears down as we age, and that leads to heart problems in old age!. If you received the heart of a 30 year old woman when you were in your 30's, and you lived to be in your 80's - that heart probably wouldn't be the ideal choice for a new transplant at that point!.

But technically, as far as whether or not it can be done, the answer would be yes!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
