Can infection travel?!
Question: I bit my tongue at lunch and it hurt pretty bad and I think it got infected. Later at night (about 10 hours later) I felt a pain in my neck on the same side as the tongue bite (a bit under the jaw). The next day I woke up and I was having trouble swallowing because of the pain on that side. Can infection travel from the tongue to the neck? and does it travel this fast or it needs days?

yes! thats why its infectius. it doesn't just stay in one part of the body. i'll go anywhere blood goes if it is left to rampage. if you tounge goed yellowie ofr there puss then it's infected. other than than your immune system should take care of it. thats what it does.
infection of your tongue causes swelling of your lymph nodes found on your neck..that's why it hurts under your jaw but no, it doesnt travel!
yes the journey starts from the site via blood
