Yes, I've heard of it, and actually tried it. The foot pad turned brown, but there is conflicting information as to why and how this happens. I felt no difference as a result of using them. I just tried to as an experiment, as I don't believe the body can really rid itself of toxins through the feet. Your liver does this for you. If you want to try them, go ahead. I don't think they will hurt you, and some people swear by them.
