Question: I know....don't lecture me. I regret ever starting smoking..but,since I did...what are some good ways to quit?

Also,I usually smoke a pack a day....marlboro reds....if i keep going at the rate I'm going..at what age is it going to catch up to me?

I used Chantix, I smoked Marlb reds from the time I was ten until this last year when I was 37. Next month will make it a year since I quit. It's already caught up to you as soon as you stop you'll be able to smell and taste WAY better. The difference is amazing. Whatever you decide to do I wish you the best of luck. Quitting is very hard but so very worth it.

i read an article b4 saying that if u wanna quit from smoking, da easiest way is to chew something in ur mouth every time u feel like like want to smoke again.. good luck!

Just put them down and walk away...NOW! There are aids, but....just quiting works best and with no side effects.

you should quit that right know because you are too young dont destriy your life smokiking

I've been a smoker for over 26 years (I started when I was a baby), the longer you smoke the harder it is to quit. I once quit for 3 months (started again out of stupidity not a desire to smoke) and I did it by simply stopping. You'll have at least 3 really bad days of cravings, headaches and even nausea while detoxing. Drink lots of water, chew gum, go for short walks, take up knitting or something where you can use your hands to keep you distracted and when you are so cranky you can't stand yourself, take a nap. Also, stay away from other smokers for a while.

PS
It caught up to me 2 years ago when I was diagnosed with COPD .

I agree with stac h and Giselle ,
and I saw somewhere that cravings usually last about 15 minutes the first few days of quitting, so just keep yourself busy with other activities to keep your mind off of it,
and good luck.

Perhaps the nicorette activestop program might help.

I don't smoke and never plan to. But you should try quitting.....now
