How come sometime when I sleep,my body jerks and I wake up?!

Question: It could be Myoclonus, which is lumped in with other spasmodic and epileptic conditions. Could be Creutzfeld-Jakob disease.

A neurologist might be able to make a diagnosis and prescribe something, maybe valproic acid (Depakote)

IDK, BUT THE SAME HAPPENS TO MY HUSBAND AND IT DRIVES ME CRAZY, BECAUSE HE WAKES ME UP AND IT TAKES ME FOREVER TO GO BACK TO SLEEP

The new buzz word is Restless leg syndrome. But sometimes you have dreams that you are falling and this involunary event can occur. A sleep specialist can sort this out for you if you don't sleep well because of it.

I do that sometimes too, actually I think it feels pretty cool. If it happens frequently enough to be annoying to you then I would contact a sleep specialists. I think it's just being at a part in your dream and something wakes you up and your body and brain send a mix signal to being awake and dreaming.

Your body is not going to sleep. When we sleep, we are "paralyzed" by chemicals released by or brains. Sometimes, not enough chemicals are released. This is why some people sleep walk, sleep fight, sleep kick, etc

Try re-setting your pre-sleep routine.

Hi Iani,
This exact thing often happens to people who have sleep apnea. They fall asleep, and shorty after they fall into deep sleep, their throat muscles or the roof of their mouth relaxes so that their airway closes. They thus can't breath. In a few more seconds their brain sends a message for the body to wake up in a hurry (thus the jerk) because it is starving for air.
It can rob you of energy, concentration, and +ve attitude, so you should see a doctor about it.

hi my dear may be you have some thing insaid you make u afraid and may bebad dream and the last may be ur squirting
