My parents think weed is verry BAD! is it?!
Question: ok so a year ago my parents caught me buying pot. They wer verry mad they said it was gonna ruin my life and so on. now am in grd 10 and a week ago my techer caught me and a couple of friends smoking dope in a zoo field trip. i got suspended for 4 days from school. Now my mom was crying adn she was telling me tyhat it was gonna ruin my life and i wud be a bum in the streets when i grow up. she thut i smoke a j like everyday but thats not tru it was more like 1 or twice week. Now she's sending me with my dad in Usa ( oh i live in canada btw) long island, just cuz i smoke pot she said it wud be better for me, (since if u get caught with weed ther u prob get suspended for like 20days) but i dont believe anything of that, is tru, its not like am getting bad grades in school am actually a good student my average in schoool was 76%. when i got caught the school didnt call the police or anything it was all in the school. my questions is is weed really that bad?

Unfortunately for us people who recognize that weed is not as evil as the government and school systems would like us to believe, marijuana is not very socially acceptable. It sucks really, that weed is viewed in such a negative light, especially when much worse things are legal and not viewed in such a negative light.

Marijuana is not an addictive drug. Though, I can agree, it is habit forming...then again pretty much anything can become habit forming, especially when it comes to things we enjoy.
Ingesting anything in the method of smoking it can be harmful to the respiratory system, but for those that are concerned there are other ways of enjoying marijuana.
As far as it making you do things to put yourself at risk. You might want to focus more attention on alcohol because it's the real disinhibitor. Marijuana doesn't tend to have that effect on most people. While it does sometimes help you to say odd things, it doesn't make you want to do dangerous things you'd regret like alcohol does.

I personally know a large amount of people who are proving you wrong at this very moment because they are pro-marijuana, smoke often, are in good health, doing good with their schooling and careers and haven't tried any drug harder than marijuana.

if you have to lie about it or hide it from those you love or that love you then is it really worth doing? you should be able to share things with the people around you. if you have to lie or hide it , then its probably not a good idea.
Yes it is, and why would you want to smoke weed? weed is so dumb.therefore your dumb. j/p your not dumb.
As an addictive and habit forming drug, marijuana does pose significant financial risks.
Also, since it is a mind altering narcotic there are health risks as well.
Finally, since it removes your ability to control your actions, there is the possibility of serious physical harm to both you and the people around you when you use it.
first of all a 76% average in school is not good. its average. That won't get you into any decent college.
2nd of all there is evidence that prolonged use of drugs can harm your brain, health, etc.
Lastly, its against the law. Whether you agree with that fact or not, its illegal to possess and use, let allow buy and sell. You can wind up in jail, especially if caught more than once.
Drug use, even if its minor, lead to just more drug use. So they are concerned that this is just the start of it. You are looking at a downward spiral in life, and you are doing it at a very young age.
Consider yourself lucky the police haven't been involved...YET.
Personally I don't think it is that bad, but it is still illegal, and more to the point, you are still in school so you shouldn't be doing this sort of thing. Maybe you should be spending all that energy on your education and especially with spelling, and things like that.

I think weed becomes bad when it causes you to make bad decisions or get into trouble. Come on now, your smoking on a school field trip? If you are gonna do it be responsible. Wait until after school, go into the woods with your buddies, and a bag of chips and get blazed. But be sure your walking home and not driving. Just don't let it control you or don't start acting like an addict. I know a lot of people will disagree with me telling you it's okay but truth is a lot of us has tried it and still turned out to lead a good and successful life.
as a drug, no. weed is pretty safe for your body, its natural, no dangerous chemicals like in meth or coke. i do not believe anyone has ever died overdosing on weed. as a lifestyle, it can be harmful if you don't control yourself. you mom probably just wants you to do well in school. she probably has a stigma that weed is illegal therefore it's horrible. She probably thinks of the stereotypical pot smoker when she thinks of you smoking pot. just keep it on the dl, keep up your studies and be a model citizen for a while, and she'll likely get off your case about it
Hey any kind of drug that is not prescribed,has to be dangerous, dont be a fool one thing leads to another, you have a life ahead of you dont abuse it, you only live once make the best of it
Weed is not that bad. It also depends on your bodys ability to handle the drug. How old are you, like 16? Well you need to stop smoking weed in public places where you are obviously going to get caught! like seriously...it does nothing for you anyway...just find something better to do with your life. SERIOUSLY. I sound like a parent but im not...im 16 too.
