I am not sure what I have?!
Question: I was diagnosed with anemia a month ago, my hemoglobin was
9must be 12.5 and ferritin was 3 must be 15. I went to the doctor and he done a colonoscopy and gastroscopy he also gave me iron supplement for 3months but I'm not sure what type of anemia I got, is there anybody who knows?and can tell me more about the types and what i could have?

hmm my best guess wood be that you have iron deficiency anaemia... but its hard to know without complete results and examination of blood film etc...
but im guessin that its iron deficiency because of the treatment uv been placed on
and also because you got sent for a colonoscopy and gastroscopy which was prob cus the doc was lookin for the underlying cause of the anaemia... so doc would be trying to rule out that the cause of anaemia was colon cancer, gastric cancer, or coeliac disease.
in my advice thou, i would go direct your questions at your doctor because it is impossible to be able to tell what type of anaemia you have simply from the Hb and ferritin results... there are many other tests that are done on the blood sample to determine the type of anaemia. so i strongly urge you to go talk to your doctor.... thats what theyre there for! =)
