Definitly do want you want to. You'll be the one having to take the classes, and eventually you'll be the one that has to go to work everyday. Pick a major from what you are interested in otherwise classes and work will be almost unbearable.

I always wanted to be a vet, and even though Im not the smartest person in the world i'm giving it a try and working hard to achieve that. The classes that are for my major i enjoy going to, but dumb classes i have taken to please my parents (like accounting or business 101) sucked. I was never interested in anything the professor had to say.

And becoming a doctor is difficult, but you sound like you are quite motivated. I'm sure if you maintain your strong drive you'll be able to accomplish your dreams. And the benefits of accomplishing becoming a doctor or anything else you truly want to do with your life will be so rewarding in itself and in the end will overshadow any of the hurdles you may have had to get over to achieve your goals.

Well, I guess the question would be, do YOU want to be a doctor? If it's what you want, then the difficulty, the time involved, the sacrifices, will all be worth it.

besides, if being a surgeon was easy, everyone would do it.

you should follow your heart, you wont be happy if you dont at least try, you will always be wondering "what if..."
