Infection?? or not?!
Question: i had a baby 7 weeks ago and then 4 days after i had my baby is a a d&c done for retained placenta.....i have a heart murmer so the anestesiologist gave me some meds through m iv so i dont get an infection in my heart....what kind of infection would i have got if i didnt have that med?? i have pain in my chest and my stomach....thanks

It could be normal pain due your body returning to it's previous state. If you have a fevor though, then it could be an infection, but probably not after 7 weeks. Bacteria grows faster than the time it took you to develop symptoms. You would have developed symptoms of an infection within a week or so if not faster.
