Why Doesn't Pennsylvannia Have a No Smoking Ban Like Most of The States That!
Question: The birthplace of Independence. Perhaps they understand the Constitution enough to know that freedom also includes the right to smoke. If people don't want to be in a smokey restaurant they will go to another one. Same for workers--get another job. Enough laws already.

Dont really know but I would hope it meant that your state government values civil liberties more than they do in UK and/or you do not have as many of what we here call health fascists in your state
One PA state rep. says, "People don't want to be over-governed. Local businesses are struggling for a multitude of reasons right now, and frankly they have strong reservations about the government coming in and telling them what to do,"
The major concern locally in banning smoking is a focus on the business aspect of enacting such regulation.
I guess they do not realize the long term and significant effects of exposure to second hand smoke and view the potential of a smoking ban as an annoyance and as jeopardizing civil rights..
..obviously a sound and reasonable arguement can be made for the other side of the issue. Smoking is an annoyance and has been proven to be a violation of the general public's civil rights by exposing them, unwillingly, to a serious health hazard.
