Frozen contacts?!


Question: ok i wear cotact lenses, but last weekend i did the polor plunge and took themout because i was afraid they would freeze in my eyes.

P.S what happens if they freeze when they are in the car

1. You should not leave contacts in for a long time. If anything you need to take them out when you sleep so that your eyes can breath and get oxygen. Otherwise if you leave contacts in too long, it can cause permanent damage that will result in you unable to even wear contacts anymore. (not saying you don't, but it sounds like you don't take your contacts out based on how you worded the question)

2. Your contacts will not freeze in your eyes. There is enough warmth and moisture under your eyelids in your eyes to keep your contacts warm and moist.

3. If your contacts ever were to freeze, all you do is put them in your contacts case and soak them in the saline solution you normally use for about a day or so. By then you should be able to use them again.
