That's a bit like asking "where did life come from". The answer preoccupies humans for a lifetime.
If you mean where do viral infections that you catch come from, the answer is a lot more simple. Viruses infect cells, and modify them to create more viruses while destroying the cell. You can come into contact with a virus nearly anywhere, but the common ways would be through inhaling/injesting/injecting infected excretions from someone else, or touching a surface with the live virus on it. Hand washing with soap is thought to reduce the risk of moving a virus from the skin of your hands to the more easily infected tissues in your mouth, nose and eyes. Viruses can also be transmitted through sexual contact (HIV being a famous Sexually Transmitted Infection).
Some viruses have vaccinations against them to prevent infection. Chicken Pox is caused by a virus, and in the last few years a new vaccine has been used to prevent it.
