If you have bad breath, what kind of doctor should you see?!

Question: Ok, so I went to the dentist and she didn't really tell me anything when I asked her if I had bad breath but she kind of hesitated which really kind of sucks and she said that my mouth seems to be perfectly normal and all my teeth are fine..

so maybe it had to do with something inside my stomach..

so what kind of doctor should I go see?

try going to a stomach doctor and you will have normal breath again, since most of the cases of bad breath originate in the stomach.

Good luck!!! :-)

I'd start with a general practice doctor and go from there. Insurance-wise, you'll have to get a referral anyway if they can't help you.

If it's a stomach problem you go to see a Gastroenterologist for all stomach disorders. You might have GERD/Acid Reflux and not even know it. It does cause bad breath because the acids traveling up.

breathologist? no seriously google it... i remember hearing about that disease in school but its not serious and it can be treated easily

You could see an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor if you think it's a problem in your mouth or throat.

Well,if I had bad breath I would obviously go to a Dentist. If there was any reason for you to go to a doctor he/she would tell you so.

Bad breath is seen in pyorrhoea for which a Dentist is the only right choice for necessary treatment.
