Have you ever been given a drug by a doctor that has literally affected your ent!
Question: I was given Versed for an endoscopy in 1991, and I've never been the same since. I suffer from horrendous anxiety attacks and depression that seems never-ending. Has this happened to anyone else? I wish a class action suit could be filed agains the company that makes this god-awful drug!! I've filed several complaints with the FDA about it.

Drug companies should have to keep track of this stuff and doctors need to take it more seriously. I think a lot of adverse reactions never get reported, and doctors act like "well that medicine doesn't make this happen." Like you are imagining it or making it all up. Sorry that happened to you.

I've heard stories like yours, and I'm sorry for your pain. I've had the opposite occurrence. I've been given medication that has changed my life for the better. Although the drug is very expensive, it allows me to live a productive, "normal" life. I guess it depends on your body chemistry. I got lucky this time...
I took Prozac for about 1 month until one day suddenly I felt like I was gonna die! It was a panic/anxiety attack. Which I had never ever had before taking Prozac. I quit taking it. Ever since I took that crap, I have had a couple more attacks and I'm on NO medication now. Like I said..I had NEVER had one of those before. I blame the Prozac. And the only reason I ever took it was b/c I was really stressed at the moment and thought it might help me out..but apparently it made it worse. I am fine now, but sometimes for no apparent reason I will have one. When I took the Prozac and this started I was having one after another...so I know it was the medicine.

I have had several colonoscopies and do not remember what drug I was given, but I did not have any problems. The only drug that I can say for a certainty gave me problems was "Prozac". It caused agitation and confusion as well as personality changes. I was making very poor choices until I stopped the "Prozac". But, I guess different people have different reactions to different drugs.
yes - percocet and vicodin.
I was instantaneously addicted to them and before long, I started banging heroin because I built up such a tolerance to the pills. Addiction has definitely changed my life.
