A first responders question?!
Question: Why when we mom and I were taken in the Ambulance. Not me, my mom but I was in the Ambulance too (we stayed from 2 am - 12 pm). But anyhow first I was routed to the police department. They came, then the EMS showed up after the police taken facts down. this is not a complaint. I'm just trying to understand why so. Oh my mother was bleeding, outside of her period. Their was blood on the floor and her bed and feet. The police officers were curtious and Proffessional though.

Many times the closest ambulance to your house is un available due to another call.....in that case either a fire engine or police are dispatched as first responders, they are trained as EMTs..... they are equipped to stabilize a patient while the ambulance responds from a distant station
