Yes because my doctor uses holistic methodology to treat me, and he includes me in the formulation of treatment.
Most of the time.
Because we have a good relationship, I feel inclined to trust her decisions. But that doesn't mean I won't go home and do some research of my own. I think pharmaceutical companies have too much influence, and I don't want to be prescribed things or told I need this procedure if there is a simpler way.

Yes, but not to the point of blind faith. I am wary enough to educate myself so I can be my own advocate. Being a MIlitary spouse means that we have pretty socialized medicine, so we have to take an active role and fight for the treatment we need sometimes.
you listen to what he has to say and if its serious enough you go to another doctor and get a secound opinion.
my regular doctors-my gynecologist,dermatologist and psychologist-yes....absolutely....i tend to be a little more leery when i have to go to a doc in a box tho......
Yes, because I interview all of my doctors before hand and ask them what they expect from me as a patient and let them know what I want from a doctor. IF they don't think that they can give it to me or I don't think that our personalities match I don't use them. I have several doctors, medical, onological, gyn, and psychiatric. Since my life is so caught up in my medical care I have to make sure that my doctors and I see eye to eye.
I also make sure that they don't have a treatment plan with out my consent, any thing and any medications that I take are discussed with me first and I USE a PDR to make sure that nothing interacts with each other. I think that way to many times people treat Doctors like they are God and that because they went to medical school and we didn't that we don't know any thing. We forget that it's our bodies and that we live in them so we know them best.
