Can a stressful situation cause a sudden nosebleed?!
Question: I got into a fight with an acquaintance recently which resulted in his punching me in my stomach, and my leaving of the room. As I fumed, and let my rage consume me, my nose started to bleed.
At no time was my nose hit during the punch, the only hit I took was to the stomach. Could the intense anger and stress of the situation have caused the nosebleed? I am concerned because it bled for quite awhile, close to 20 minutes or so.

The stress/anxiety/adrenaline probably caused your blood pressure to rise and if your blood pressure gets high enough it can cause your blood vessels in your nose to burst which can cause a nosebleed.
You should be okay but if it happens again you should definitly see a doctor because you can't keep letting your blood pressure get high like that, it's very dangerous.
I don't know about nose bleed but that happens to me when I get to stressed out or too hot.
Your litttle tif there could have left you with some internal bleeding, that's why your bleeding from your nose. I would recommend that you see a DR. A.S.A.P
Yes, it can happen. It happened once to me several years ago.
I'm sure you are aware that when it happens, you are to tilt your head back, apply a cold compress to the nose/forehead area of your face for a few minutes to help it to stop bleeding.
Take care.
