GP's referral for X-Ray/CT Scan?!
Question: Hi,
I live in Ireland(republic) and I want a private X-Ray or CT Scan in Britain.

Now the problem is it seems I need a GP referral to get the diagnostic scan, even privately.
My doctor doesn't want to know!!
If I was to get a private doctor(pay for the referral in other words) here in Ireland to give me a referral, would that do?

Seemingly for a CT scan I need a consultant to recommend me,even if I come from another country, or do I?

you don't say WHY you want the scan. A Basic CT and single plate X-Ray costs the UK taxpayer around
