I am getting over a cold that has turned into a MONSTER sinus headache. How to t!

Question: I am not one to get migraines, but I imagine this is what one feels like. I can barely move without it hurting. I took today off work to pack up (I move tomorrow!) so I really need to get stuff done. Help??

I get sinus infections often. Here's what I've learned:

(1) Doctor's are really stingy with antibiotics - they always say "come back in a week and let me know if you're still sick"

(2) Believe it or not, a humidifier can knock out the sinus problem in like a day. I swear by it. You really should try it.

(3) For immediate relief of the symptoms, take some Advil Cold and Sinus.

So for your situation I recommend you run out and buy a humidifier (you can get them at most large drug stores) and some advil cold and sinus. Take the medicine and keep the humidifier running in whatever room you are packing.

It has probably turned into a bacterial sinus infection. I recommend that you go to a family practice physician or the nearest walk-in clinic and tell them your symptoms and ask them if they think an injection of selestone (sp?) would be beneficial to you.

If you can find a doctor who uses these as a regular course of treatment, they will know just what you are talking about and probably give you one on the spot. It is similar to steroids and somehow gives the body the immune system boost to kick this thing when nothing else will. Be prepared for a hyper energy boost for the rest of the day, and you may not sleep much tonight, but you will start feeling better almost instantly!

Go get the Zicam Nose swabs. They are incredible!!!!

I had the exact thing yesterday! I woke up at 5AM with the most painful headache I've had in a long time. I may have overdone it but after I ate, I took 3 exedrins (the only thing that works for my headaches). Once I got to work I took some Afrin No Drip Extra Moisturizing nasal spray. Around lunchtime, I took an Advil Cold/Sinus. Some people may say that's a lot but with the sinus pressure & headache I had, I didn't care. By the end of the day, I was in much better shape!

migraines are on one side of the head usually in the temple area if it is not just in one side it is not a migraine. 1000 mg of naprosan or aleve will knock it out, unless it is an infection then you will get temporary relief~

Try going to the store and getting Vick's Day Quil pills. I swear these pills are the greatest pills for sinus headaches. I don't get sinus headachesa all the time but when I do I take these. Their like magick to me! Thier gel filled so you get relief really fast. It never takes long for my headache to disappear. So go head and try them for your headache.
