advil is a narcotic or NSAID it can cause gastrointestinal distress or stomach ache that's why it has to take with food or with milk to lessen the GI distress...if you will take 3-4 pills? i must say it will upset your tummy ;)

It could cause stomach pain. Also, taking IB pro fen for extended periods of time can cause deterioration to the lining of your stomach. Only take it as needed. You should not need that much unless you have had oral surgery or some other painful event.
Taking more than the recommended amount does absolutely no extra good. If anything, it'll make you feel worse. :)
noo, i would only take 3 max tho bc those advil liqui-gels work like freakin magic, chances are whatever your ache is 2 will def do the trick
It depends on your size for one. Advil is a form of Ibprofen (however it's spelled) and if this is taken incorrectly it could cause damage to your liver. Check with your doctor or pharmacist for weight to mg ratio.

How often? I take 600 mg Ibuprofen every night, but then again I'm 230 lbs. Its probably not good for my liver, but allows me to sleep thru most of the night, so I'll die early but rested. My Dr. recommended that for acute pain management I start with 3 (or 4 ibuprofen) to increase the titre and after that follow the label directions. The high initial dose helps get to a medically potent blood concentration faster. This would be for chronic pain or pain from surgery or injury and which will last for days. But there is little or no advantage in taking 4 unless your pain is not controlled with 3.
