Flu or what?!

Question: I've had a on again off again fever since probably Saturdayish. My head hurts alot especially around the sinuses. I'm very dizzy/light headed and my eyeballs hurt alot. I have some chest pain and my body is just plain sore. The odd thing is that I've had absolutely no cough.

I went to the doc and he didn't know exactly what I had. He saw some white grossness on the tonsils/throat and thought maybe I had strep throat and a sinus infection (I get those a decent amount). He gave me some antibiotics and told me to just lay low and that it could also be viral.

My fever has 'broken' many times and I've probably woken up with a cold sweat at least 5-6 times. I also go back to sleep, however, and then when I wake up the fever has caught back up to around 102-101ish.

Called a different doc who said I probably had influenza type A and that the coming and going fever and no cough are sumptoms.

What do you guys think and how much longer until I feel better?

this does sound like the flu. cough may come later when the stuff in your chest breaks up. this could take 10 days or longer to clear up, but if you keep taking the meds your doc. gave you, you should start to feel better in about 3 to 4 days. FEEL BETTER!!

This is a type of the flu my dad had it and so have many other people. There aren't as many flu symptoms but newer symptoms. My dad has been sick for a month...
