I would say no, unless the doctor recommended it/the baby has asthma. A baby's lungs are very sensitive and fragile, and it's not worth the risk.

Albuterol is not suggested for children under the age of 4 years.

NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not the same dosage for an adult than it is for a baby!!!! In fact the FDA does not recommend any cold medication for children under the age of 2.

Call your doctor immediately if there are breathing problems with your baby and go to the ER if there is any sign of distress!!!! Quick, quick, quick!!! Better to be safe than sorry!

And don't get serious medical answers for your baby from the internet! See a professional!

i would say no but im not 100%sure abuterol is for athesma an i think the age is 15 and up

I have twin boys who are 4 and they use albuterol nearly every time they get sick because they start coughing and this aggravates their asthma and they can't get settled down. Their doctor has had them on this since they were about 2 years old... may have even been before that time. They also use a solution called Pulmicort that is supposed to be used regularly to help strengthen their lungs. They use these in a nebulizer. Your doctor would probably prescribe something like this if your baby has difficulty breathing when getting sick or asthma... but at a young age it's so hard to diagnose them with asthma... but if there's a lot of wheezing or shortness of breath, it's probably a good indicator. Hope this helps.
