Almost 40% of the population has O+ blood
Patients with Type O blood must receive Type O blood
About half of all blood ordered by hospitals in our area is Type O
Type O blood is the universal blood type and is the only blood type that can be transfused to patients with other blood types
Only about 7% of all people have Type O negative blood
Type O negative blood is the preferred type for accident victims and babies needing exchange transfusions
There is always a need for Type O donors because their blood may be transfused to a person of any blood type in an emergency
Here is the list of type blood. This reflects on average the type of blood from 100 donors.
38 are O+
7 are O-
34 are A+
6 are A-
9 are B+
2 are B-
3 are AB+
1 is AB-
um i'm O
The rare one is AB
O is the universal doner.
Cheers, you're a giver
O means that you can donate to anyone. Its universal. So its actually the best to have!!=)
You are either O positive or O negative. If you're O negative you are a universal donor and can donate to anyone with any type of blood. O negative is rare.
o-
it used to be said that O was a universal donor but, i don't know if that's still true. AB(i don't know if it's + or-) is the rarer of all the types.
AB is rare
i believe its AB- its the rarest kind
O negative is what people in hostpitals want because any kind of blood type can use that kind of blood. so if your o negative then you will probably be hounded for your blood.
AB neg is the most are blood.
Having O blood means that you have no A or B proteins on the surface of your red blood cells. This means that you can donate your blood to anyone. But you do have antibodies to both the A and B proteins so the only one that you can receive is AB
+ or - refers to the Rhesus protein. Either you have it + or you don't -
is that even possible
yeah, i think the rare one is AB and i' am B, i think
