Do Crest 3D Whitening toothpaste/rinse work?!

Question: Do Crest 3D Whitening toothpaste/rinse work?
I don't want to spend like $50 on whitening strips, so would the whitening toothpaste and rinse really whiten my teeth? And by how much?

Are there different types of toothpastes/rinses? I looked it up on the internet, and I saw things like Refreshing Mint 4, Radiant Mint 5.8, Radiant Mint 7.6. Are they different from each other? Like one stronger than the other or something?

How much do they cost in stores like Walgreens, CVS, etc?

I've tried them before, and they didn't work on me.

My dentist told me that whitening toothpastes and mouthrinses don't work. They only remove surface stains. The real cause of yellowed teeth is below the surface. Whitening strips don't even get to the root of the problem, according to my dentist. He recommended I look into in-home whitening. Basically you get molds taken of your teeth and then you wait for them to come in. Then you get them and you also get whitening gel that you put in the molds and stick on your teeth for like ten minutes daily or something. After a couple weeks of that your teeth will be 3 shades whiter at least. And you have to keep doing this but only like once every few months just to keep them white. The best thing is it's all under $100, unlike traditional bleaching which can cost thousands. I think the dentist told me this would only be like $75-$80 for the molds and the gel, so it's a good deal. It's better than continually paying $50 whenever your whitening strips run out.

I'm not too sure on the prices, but crest had the best results for my mom (psh..moms..). It had amazing results on my friend, who had white spots after getting his braces off.
They're between 50-80$, but like I said, you need to check online.

its all we use at home but if i change it up for even a day or 2 they are bvack to yellow but meh i just make sure to always use it.. even when i use other so called whitening stuff it still takes away the white

NO.....NO..... AND NO.I've tried them and they don't work
