i got a frenectomy done on myself last year! well, you get it because your frenem is too low down which could cause movement of your teeth, and overall irritation. it will be hard in the future for dentists to look at your teeth and do work on them when your frenem is too low down. those are really it. totally painless, and works well. i'd suggest it!
This is when there is a small piece of skin still attached to your inner lip and the gum above your front central incisors. This can cause issues such as a gap between your two front teeth, speech issues, lisp, pain and swelling. It takes around 3 minutes to remove this and it solves the above issues. Usually an Orthodontist requests this when putting on a brace.
