Question: Will my teeth be rotten after i get my braces taken off?
ive had my braces for a year and a half and im supposed to have them taken off within the next few months. im wondering, will my teeth be rotten after i get them taken off? i know this is bad but i used to drink ALOT of dark soda.. pretty much everyday. no milk no water. how is that going to affect my teeth? i just dont want them to be black underneath :( PLEASE HELP ! should i ask the orthodontist if he can tell or.. what ?

Well i dont think i drink quite as much fizzy as you, but i do drink fizzy and alcohol and eat a lot of sweets, but i had braces for 3 1/2 years and my teeth werent stained when they took them off so you should be ok. Not a single person i know has stained teeth from braces. hope this helps x

hate to break it to you but if you've been drinking lots of fizzy drinks and eating sweets then they probably are going to be stained. Where your braces have been will be a different colour to the rest of you teeth :\

they wont be black, just maybe a bit yellow.....

If you're teeth were going to be rotten, your orthodontist would have mentioned something to you along the way. As long as you brushed them regularly and flossed them regularly, you should be okay.
I had braces for 2 years. I too drank a lot of dark soda (Pepsi addict). My teeth came out great!
