Wisdom teeth and braces/rubber bands?!
Question: Wisdom teeth and braces/rubber bands?
I just got my wisdom teeth pulled out yesterday and I have braces and am supposed to be wearing my rubber bands, but my orthodontist told me I can take a day or two off from the rubber bands to let my mouth heal. I was wondering when I can start wearing my rubber bands again and will my teeth begin to shift back to the way they were from not wearing the rubber bands? Please help. I don't want my teeth to move back!
I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed...by the way.
I wear a rubber band triangle formation on both sides.

they won't shift back in just a few days. That's why people have to wear braces for years. your teeth will surely be fine. If that wasn't the case, your orthodontist wouldn't have told you to take a few days off. :)
Just do what your orthodontist said. Your teeth aren't going to move back in a couple of days.
