Is it possible to apply to dental school with a BA degree in?!

Question: Is it possible to apply to dental school with a BA degree in?
Pure mathematics, physics, or engineering? I really want to become a dentist but my chemistry is not that good (85 percent right now). My biology is 97 percent right now but all I had to do was memorize. My physics is 98 percent while my calculus is 97 percent. I don't really want to major in health science or natural science. I was thinking of majoring in either those three because they come naturally to me.

Answers:

Just like Med school it does not matter what you major in to apply to dental school. However you will need to take Pre-Dental course requirements before you can apply. These usually include 2 semesters each of:

Biology with lab
Chemistry with lab
Organic Chemistry with lab
Physics
Calculus

Regardless of what you major in you will need to take 4 semesters of chem.
The 3 majors you listed can be very brutal, especially pure math because the ideas become very abstract after the first couple years. Engineering is a lot of work from those I know in that major and professors are notorious for giving low grades even to good students. You need a good GPA to apply dental school. Personally I would major in physics since it already requires general chem, physics, and calc. You would only need organic and bio in addition before you satisfy the pre-dental requirements.
