Can one instance of vomiting significantly affect gum health?!
Question: Can one instance of vomiting significantly affect gum health?
I am going to the dentist next week but in the mean time I'd like some thoughts on this (:

Do you have a habit of brushing twice a day and flossing every day? Slacking on flossing will cause the gums to bleed, and it could be that you weren't as aware of your gums before this incident. Kudos on the rinsing with baking soda. Brushing immediately after can actually cause damage from the stomach acids. Stomach acid is very strong, and could have damaged the tissue slightly, but I believe they should return to normal quickly with regular hygiene.

Im pretty sure that you wouldn't damage your gums from being sick once. There might be something else going on (like gingivitis)
I 'unt thank so darling. You gotta really abuse your teeth to see some damage.
