It's not serious and swallowing the filling isn't dangerous either. Until you get to see the dentist to have it repaired, you can go to your local pharmacy and get an over-the-counter product called, "Dentemp" or another one called, "Temparin" which will replace your lost filling temporarily, so you won't feel any pain.

I doubt swallowing the filling matters your stomach acid should break it down and you need to go to your dentist straight away, that's what i did when my filling came out 2 weeks ago they can just refill your tooth :) Hope this helped
My own experience
Fillings tend to be quite small. I have never heard of it causing a problem myself.
On the other hand visit your dentist ASAP who will be able to redo the filling / may need to crown the tooth.
Good luck
I have swallowed both kinds of fillings before. It will come out in the end. There is no danger what so ever. The dentist will replace the filling with a new one.
You can get a temporary filling mixture at most drug stores. Schedule an appointment with your dentist next week. I don't think swallowing the filling will hurt; it should pass...
Go to the nearest drug store and purchase a temporary filling until you can get to a dentist.
