Is it bad to rinse after spitting out mouthwash?!

Question: Is it bad to rinse after spitting out mouthwash?
The taste of the weakest mouthwash is still horrible to me so I always rinse with water afterwards, does this make the mouthwash less effective?

You shouldn't rinse.
On Listerine it says not to rinse and not to eat/drink for 30 minutes.
The point of mouthwash is to clean your mouth/teeth/tongue and to fight disease and stuff.
So rinsing your mouth right after sort of defeats the purpose.

Hello,
Not if you deliver the mouth rinse to where you want it to go. The most efficient way is to add mouth rinse to your waterpik. Place waterpik tip around the gum area while turning it on. The solution will go inside the gum. You can rinse but don't gargle. The other way is to just clean your tongue only (wipe with wet paper towel) after using waterpik . Below is the link to buy waterpik online.
