Question: What to do about my white tongue that ive had for years!?
Hi, ive had a white tongue for about 4 years now (yes i know that is a long time) but see ive been too embarrased to ask a dentist or a doctor, but today i had a dentist appointment so i said u know what f it so i told him my prob see all these years i thought that i had hairy tongue so i told him that i had hairy tongue for 4 years so he checked me and he said no i dont have hairy tongue so i asked him what is it then cause i used to remember my tongue being nice and pink and he said that my tongue is normal but i dont think this is normal, the dentist looked a little unexperienced so i dont think he really know what was wrong!. so i was hoping that someone here can help me cause because of this white tongue i have bad breath and it has ruined my social life!. I am 18 years old i am very good hygene especialy oral hygene, i brush 2 times i day sometimes after meals, i floss everyday and according to my dentist my gums and teeth are healthy!. I find your question very interesting!. Bad breath is caused by the bacteria Solobacterium moorei!. It grows on the top of the tongue and can be seen as "white stuff", especially on the back of the tongue!. This white stuff must be cleaned off to get rid of bad breath!. I use OraBrush tongue cleaner because it is both a brush and a scraper!. Brush and floss your teeth and then clean your tongue with OraBrush!. If you don't believe a dentist who actually 'saw' your tongue!.!.!.why would you believe someone on this site who may or may not have any knowledge of normal or abnormal tongues!? He said it was normal, I say that it is not!.!.!.now you have differing opinions!.!.!.satisfied!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
