Will the tooth be pulled? or root canal?!

Question: Will the tooth be pulled!? or root canal!?
A couple of days ago i started to get pain in my back farthest molar on the right side!. After examination in the mirror, it looks as though a cavity had formed on the side of the tooth, which then later fell out!. So, my tooth is shaped roughly like a backwards C!. Will they have to do a root canal!? I am a terrible patient so I'm hoping to get it over with as soon as possible!. Half the time when they give me the injection for the sedative I get extremely nauseous!.
What is really annoying is that I brush twice a day and I use mouthwash and I still get cavities!. It's really frustrating!.

Dawn P,
It is entirely your choice whether you choose to have a root canal or whether you choose to have your tooth extracted!. Both of these procedures have positives and negatives to them!. If you want to save the tooth, root canal will be the best option as it removes possible infections and means you get to keep the tooth!. If you do not care for the tooth and want a relatively quicker dental visit, I suggest you get the tooth extracted, but this means you may be left with a gap in your mouth!. Root canals are not as bad as they seem, so do not be put off by others 'horror stories'!. The whole idea sounds quite scary but you really don't have anything to worry about!.
