Dry socket dressing - can i pull it out myself?!

Question: Dry socket dressing - can i pull it out myself!?
Hello I had a wisdom tooth out and it was painful a week or more later, i can feel it's an infection and the dentist gave me some antibiotics which helped!. But when the 5 day course finished it was still a bit sore so i went back to get some more and the dentist said it's probably not an infection (which i can feel it is!) but maybe a dry socket so who am i to argue he put some dry socket dressing on it and now i have that taste (which is fading away thankfully after 2 days) and he told me the dressing would stay there for a week or 2 then dislodge itself automatically!! Is this right and can I just pull it out myself as the dentist is pretty sure it's NOT a dry socket (he was just being careful because I had pain) can i just get someone with tweezers to pull it out or is there chance of cutting my gums!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
IF YOUR DENTIST PLACED IT, LEAVE IT ALONEWww@Answer-Health@Com

OMG DO NOT pull it out!. I had dry socket once!. Just leave it in there, it will fall out!. Also, take some motrin and it will make the pain a lot better, since it is an anti inflammatory!. It works much better than painkillers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
