Ive had mine for 1 1/2 years so far, the estimated time is 2 years, but i think it might take longer!. I think i'll probably have them off in another 8 months!.

Getting braces on doesn't really hurt, but after a few hrs, they ache, and then it only hurts to eat!. Many people deal with pain differently, so it might hurt worse, or less then it did for me!. Your teeth should feel better within 2 weeks

Foods you should eat after you get them on, should be soft, mashed potatos, macoroni, pudding, soups, etc, you want stuff you don't have to chew, for the first few days, then you can eat anything, you don't have to bit with your front teeth, like hot dogs, and pizza, and hamburgers, etc!.

Brush your teeth at least 4 times a day, floss, and use mouth wash!. You want to keep your teeth clean, it will help your treatment!.

GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Honestly, don't count on only having your braces on for 2 years!. Not to be negative or anything, but my orthodontist said the same thing and I've had them on since the beginning of 7th grade, and now I'm going into my junior year of high school, and my teeth didn't even need to be fixed that much at all!. But I'm getting them off in about 3 weeks, thank god!. When they first put them on it feels mad weired!. It gets really aggravating cause you're not used to constantly having to get something out of your braces that gets caught while eating, and you feel gross for a while!. Also for about the first 3 days of having them on eating is like extremely painful and you might want to stick to just soup and ice cream!. But after a week you're used to it pretty much!. well i hav braces on and am supposed to get them off in 1 more year ok so getting braces on !.!.!.
do not be nervous i was scared sh*tless and almost died but bity vwas nothing i am just a scaredy cat to put the braces on it does not hurt one bit the worst part is when the put this thing in yourmouth to stretch it out and you have alot of saliva and the top of your mouth dries but they also put a thing in the bottom to take out the saliva then they just put the glue on your teeth which tastes nasty it is a little bit uncomfortable when they tighten the wire they put in it will not hurt bad maybe a little when you get home just stay away from foods too hot or too cold and hard foodsWww@Answer-Health@Com

getting braces is not totally an easy thing, i 've had them for almost a year!. im getting them off in another 2 years!.
when they put them on for the very FIRST time, it hurts for about 2 weeks, i suggest you eat oatmeal, porridge, anything soft!. don't eat hard foods, candy, or gum!. i ate pizza once when i first started a while like a month after, and one of the moulds fell off!.
every time you go to tighten them, it hurts for about 2 to 3 days!. my best advice is that you don't eat anything hard of chewy that can get stuck, because the consequences aren't taht great!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It wont hurt!. It'll be uncomfortable when they put the cheek retractors in, but it's not bad!. My advice, eat things like mashed potatoes and soup for the first day!. It'll help alot!. Bring some aspirin or ibfrophen if you need it!.

Also, follow ALL guidelines to the "T" it'll be worth it!

Congrats and Goodluck!!! :PWww@Answer-Health@Com

I got my braces last September, and they at first said a year and now it's going to be longer, so I'm not sure when I get them off!. When you first get your braces on they won't hurt too bad, then after a while they will!. They'll hurt for a week in a half to 2 weeks!. Just eat soft foods!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
