Question: Could anyone tell whether scaling is good for dental health or not!?
Answers:
Scaling, like what the hygienist does to your teeth!? Absolutely! It is one of the most important things you can do (well, not YOU, your hygienist)!. Brushing and flossing is great, but over time your teeth with accumulate what's called calculus and it can't be removed from a toothbrush or floss!. Calculus forms when food debris mixes with saliva!. Everyone gets it, but some people have more than others, especially if they don't get their six month cleanings!. Anyway, yes, scaling is do be done every six months by your hygienist and it is very important to your dental health!. If you choose to forgo the cleanings and allow the calculus to build up, it will begin to eat away at the surrounding bone causing periodontal disease and then the teeth with become mobile and you will start to loose them!. All this of course happens over years, not over night, but your best bet is prevention!Www@Answer-Health@Com
