Question: Can you die from an absess on your gums!? I have what I think is an absess for a week!.!?
It seemed to get progressively better although it still is uncomfortable sometimes!. It's a small swollen bump over the last tooth!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can die from an abcess from your mouth, depending on how it spreads!. it is possible that it can spread to your heart from your mouth, neck and then down to the chest space!. bacteria tend to take the path of least resistance, and if you don't take care of it, who knows where they will end up!.
one of the worst things you can say for any health issue is "maybe it'll go away!."
don't ever say that for something in your mouth!. if it's getting better, that's great, but it's best if you get it checked out by someone that is qualified!

The abscess can become infected, and if it swells, you may have trouble breathing!. Also, the infection may lead to heart problems if left untreated!.
If you're unable to have it looked at right away, rinse your mouth with a warm salt water solution!. You can dilute it with a bit of hydrogen peroxide!. Additionally, brush your teeth regularly!. If there is pain, take an ibuprofen!. But definitely get it looked at!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
