Question: Othodontist!?!?!.!.!.!.!. 1st visit!?
ok next wednesday thu 9th is my first trip to the orthodontist my mom called it a consultation but i am scarred!!! what will they do on my first visit!?!?!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Please dont be scared!.!.!.!.!.!.at orthodontist office, the first visit is going to be a mere chit chat!. So, just take it easy!.!.!.!.!.may be he would use a dental camera to show and explain the status of your teeth to you and your mom and then explain the need/urgency of treatment !.I feel at first visit they would also take your X-rays ( NO PAIN!!!!) and also they would probably take impression of your teeth to make dental models ( AGAIN, ABSOLUTELY PAINLESS !!)!.!.!.!.!.So, are you still feeling scared !?!.!.!.!.!.No, that's great !!Www@Answer-Health@Com
there is no reason for being scared!. i am 28 years old and have had my braces for almost 2 mths now!. your first visit is just what you said a "consultation"!. All the orthodonist will do is look at your teeth and talk to you and your mom about what will need to be done!. They "may" do x-rays at this visit but for me, they did x-rays at my second visit!. If you do have a second visit, they will do your x-rays and impressions!. The x-rays that was done for me was not a normal dentist x-ray, in fact, it was much easier than a normal dental x-ray!. I had to stand up and there was a rotating thing that went around my head and done x-rays that way, nothing to actually put in my mouth and bite down on!. Impressions are easy also, it may make you gag, but its nothing terrible!. Trust me, there is no reason at all to be scared or nervous!.
