How do you remove tartar without going to the dentist?!
Question: How do you remove tartar without going to the dentist!?
Answers:
Go to a store like Bed Bath and Beyond, they sell the metal picks and mirrors your dentist uses!. You can use the metal pick to scrape off plaque buildup (gently! don't ruin your tooth enamel), and of course floss, brush and rinse afterwards!.
For flossing I reccomend the Glide floss picks, they're easy to manuver and are easier to use than the standard loose strings!.
For brushing, try Crest Tartar protection and rinse with a brand like Listerine!.
Hope this helps :]Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tartar can't be brushed off!. Plaque can be brushed off!. Over time plaque hardens and becomes tartar!. Tartar can only be scraped off by hand which is very tiring or shaken off ultrasonically with a machine that the dentist uses!.
The most common places of tartar buildup is in between teeth (esp the back) and behind your lower front teeth!.
You know I never knew Bed Bath and Beyond sold dental scalers!.
I'm just worried that you'll tear up your gums in trying to remove the tartar because you lack the technique to properly hold the scaler!. Also as a dentist, I numb up my patients because tartar can also build up underneath the gum line, and it hurts w/o an injection!.
Seriously I'm worried you're going to mess up your gums or damage your teeth if you try to scrape off the tartar!. Go see your dentist, even though this isn't what you wanted to hear!. You need to hear it though because if you tear up your gums, then you'll encounter bigger problems later on in life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You can get those instrument kits and try to do it yourself but please don't hurt yourself! I am assuming by "tartar" you mean the hardened plaque called calculus!. This can form beneath your gums also where you can't see it and I would suggest having a professional do it! Check to see if there are any dental schools in your area who usually have excellent instructors watching over everything but usually a school will be much more affordable!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
You can get metal plaque scrapers like the dentists use, or even soft rubbed tipped ones!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
