Could I have JUST given myself Dry Socket?!

Question: Could I have JUST given myself Dry Socket!?
I had my wisdom teeth taken out exactly 7 days ago(was supposed to get stitches out today but the office's power was out)!. I figured since i had next to no difference in my jaw than before I had them taken out, I figured it was safe to eat more difficult foods like pizza!. I tried to make sure that I didnt chew over my stitches but I think I may have ripped one out!.

I figure this because I can taste a little blood in my mouth but it's not gushing and next to no visual sign but a little taste none the less!. The stitches are partially gone on one part of the site but still one there(the stitch over the one wisdom tooth is gone but the stitch next to it is still there)!. There is also no imediate pain(I also tried touching it with a clean finger to see if any pain would occur and NONE OCCURED)!. No pain as of now, 10 min after I noticed!.

In conculsion, I just really hope I didnt screw myself over but I have no way of knowing for sure!. Thanks for any help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
Dry socket usually occurs 3-4 days after surgery!. Blood clots form in the empty sockets and should remain there until the healing process is underway!. The blood clots can be pulled out by smoking, using a straw, or vigorous rinsing!. By Day 7, the danger of dry socket is usually over!.

You may have caused some trauma, but it's doubtful you caused dry sockets!.

I had four dry sockets with my wisdom tooth surgery!. The pain is continual and severe!.

It's probably too soon to eat pizza, by the way!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you did give yourself a dry socket but I would just call the oral surgeon when they get power back again and just tell them what happened and they will help you from thereWww@Answer-Health@Com

If it starts hurting, call!.
If not, don't worry about it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
