Anyone who's an orthodontist or dentist PLEASE help!?!

Question: Anyone who's an orthodontist or dentist PLEASE help!!?
okay so i've had my bottom braces on for two and a half years now, when i first got them on i was told that i would only need them on for 6th months tops (because my teeth weren't bad at all) but then it took a year to get my tops off and i still have my bottoms on, and its really making me mad!. but there's this one tooth on my bottom row that got crooked for some reason (it wasn't crooked before i got my braces on) and my orthodontist keeps telling every visit that once that stupid tooth turns we can get them off, yea he's been saying that for about a year now and i dont know what else to do!.
i can't stand having them on anymore,
do you have any advise at all what i should do to get them off soon!? ITS SO FRUSTRATING!
please help im so desperate, its not even funny!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I am an orthodontic assistant and in my experience it should not take that long for a tooth to align!. If you had space they were trying to close that could take a while but not rotation a a tooth!. I might opt for a second opinion if I were you!. If we have a patient that has a tooth that is slightly rotated we can do an adjustment and by the next visit it is aligned!. With out seeing the severity of your rotation it makes it hard for me to give advice but I sure do hope this helps some! Best of luck to you!Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm not a dentist but I've been through the same thing as you!.
I had braces for 3 years!. A few months after I got them off, I moved to a new place and my new dentist told me that the old one had been doing exactly the opposite of what should have been done!. And so!.!.!. I got new braces for!.!.!. 3 years!.
I'd get a second advice if I were you!. Go to another dentist - (say you just moved to town, or that your old dentist died or something - professionnals don't always like critizising colleague's work if they know them) and see what he/she says!.
Good luck !Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, I feel you should take another opinion from another orthodontist!.

In attempt to align/correct one single tooth,It may compromise situations for other teeth in your mouth because of all the stress and strain they bear due to the wires!.

2 1/2 years is a pretty long time!.!. And the tooth which is he talking about can take another 6 months as tooth movements are slow!.!.

Find another dentist for consultation, I am sure that crooked teeth is also loose due and it is not able to bear functional/mastication's stresses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
