Question: I had a molar extraction a few hours ago and had a few coughs just then!. Will I get a dry socket!?
I have read that coughing can induce dry socket!. I had a few paranoid and am now very paranoid that the clot would dislodge!.
What should I do now!?

DO NOT RINSE WITH WARM SALT WATER AT THIS TIME!
Not that this is wrong, just not for the first 24 hours or so - can make the clot turn loose!
It shouldn't! I have had all my molars extracted as well as now, all my upper teeth and implants screwed it - so I have been through a LOT of dental proceedures!.
Just make sure you keep the gauze in place, do not use straws or suck on anything!.
IF you use the guaze, make sure that you leave it in place with light pressure for at least an hour before moving it or changing it!. This helps it to clot and keeps you from ripping it open again!.
If you are bleeding through more than a guaze pad an hour, contact your doctor!.

I had a molar taken out a while ago and I didn't get a dry socket!. I can't remember if I coughed though!.
All I can suggest is: take in only fluids (water, soup etc) for the first day Until the bleeding stops!. Also rinse your mouth out with warm (Not hot!) salty water whenever you do intake any solids, until you feel that your socket has healed!.
