How do i relieve a toothache?!

Question: I went to the dentist yesterday and they said my filling was done wrong by my last dentist, istead of being round with my tooth it is squared and food is getting jammed under it and its very rough and because i have a cross bite my bottom teeth have jammed the filling up into my gum so I'm in constant pain. My dentist is waiting to hear back from my insurance before she can fix it for me which is going to take about a week. I have considered going to mexico and paying for this out of my pocket and getting it fixed because i know of a great dentist down there, i have been on ibuprofin and a few vicodin here and there on top of anbesol but it never stops hurting for more than an hour or so, i cant even tough it because it hurts so badly, i have an important date tonight and would like to be able to enjoy it, what can i do to relieve some of this pain for a few hours?

i dunno about hours
but bring a water bottle
out with you wherever u go

and drink the water down the OPPOSITE side of the hurting tooth
(cold water)

down the side of yer throat almost

it hits a nerve there and relvies the pain for a minute
just do this til it goes away in 30 minutes

have your dentist fix it today and pay out of pocket.....then if the insurance pays they will pay you...good luck

There is nothing that is going to work for just a brief period of time. You just have to get this fixed by a dentist right away. Pay your dentist and let the insurance company reimburse you.

Put some clove oil on it....I swear by clove oil...it stinks and burns fr a min....but it has really helped me out in the past.

You can go to the emergency room and ask for a marcaine or novocaine injection directly to your tooth. It won't take long before the pain is knocked out.

Yes, your filling needs to be redone so your food isn't getting trapped where it's not suppose to be.

Another option is tooth extraction, it's very painful to get a tooth pulled. But, it does provide relief pretty quickly
