There is two dental schools in Illinois: SIU and University of Illinois at Chicago.
If you live near either one of those two dental schools, consider becoming a patient there. The fees they charge for dentures is about half of what a private dentist charges, and a dental student will treat you right (they are supervised). The only thing you are giving up is a lot of time-- 3 hour visits is typical.
