Im going for underbite surgery......how long does it take for the swelling to go down?

Orthodontist told up to 6 months or maybe just 6 weeks?......any body any ideas?

Well, "underbite surgery" is kind of vague so it's hard to say.

If you mean orthognathic surgery to either move your upper jawbone (LaFort Osteotomy) or lower jawbone (mandibular osteotomy) to correct Class II or Class III malocclusion, then it will probably take a few months and involve wiring your jaws shut for that duration (which means you need to be on a liquid diet for that time).
