Going for dentures soon, is there a big diffrence in quality between, economy dentures and custom dentures?
There's a diffrence in about 200 dollars, was curious about how diffrent the quality is..thanks

ABSOLUTELY!!! Think of economy dentures as off-the-rack and fit to just about anyone. They may work, but they also may not. When dentist fit a custom denture they use a series of steps and several visits to make sure that denture fits you to a T. They start with an impression, or a mold of your mouth, then proceed to a custom try that is made to fit only to your mouth and your lumps and bumps on your ridge, then they work on the vertical dimension which shows them in wax how tall or short to make your teeth, then they incorporate the teeth in wax so that they can get a better idea of the best placement of the teeth, the best shape teeth, color of teeth, etc. so you can get the maximum use from those teeth and they look like they fit in your mouth. The old saying you get what you pay applies in spades on this one.
